In Darfur, Sudan, 80% of the children under 5 years old are suffering from severe malnutrition and many are dying each day.

Over 400,000 people have died as a result of the current genocide in Darfur, Sudan, and an additional 2.5 million have been displaced from their homes.
Eighty percent of the children in Darfur who are under five years old are suffering from severe malnutrition. In addition to starvation, these children are likely to die of diarrhea, malaria and other ailments. Seventy percent of the deaths in the camps are children under five.
