Video: A Special Message From Kimberly Davis
Posted on September 18, 2011 by Eric Wingerter, Director of Web Campaigns and New Media
Today Troy Davis' sister delivers a very special video message for NAACP members and supporters--just one day before Troy's hearing before the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles. Troy has been on Death Row for the past 20 years for the murder of Savannah, GA police officer Mark MacPhail. Despite serious doubts to his guilt, Troy’s execution is scheduled for September 21. Read more about the case here.
Please watch her message and then send a letter to ask that Board grant clemency to Troy. There is simply too much doubt to execute Troy.
UPDATE (9/20/11): The GA Board of Paroles denied Troy's request for clemency. Chatham County DA Larry Chisolm can still ask the judge to withdraw Troy's death warrant - click here to tell Chisolm to do the right thing.
