Keeping the Dream Alive

Forty-eight years ago, Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech shaped the American landscape, educating and inspiring a nation of generations born and unborn. Nearly 43 years after his death, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s immortal words vision for hope still lives on. His passion for civil rights, non-violence, equality and freedom continues to manifest itself through the work of countless activists across our nation and worldwide.
As we celebrate the birth of one of our nation's greatest civil rights visionaries, several NAACP branches will commemorate the legacy of Dr. King. Here's a listing of some of the local events to be hosted by NAACP units nationwide.
