Million Hoodies and New York NAACP are teaming up together to "Get On The Bus" to the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington on Saturday, August 24th.
The Million Hoodies Movement for Justice will provide a means for the entire world to participate in the historic 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington by streaming it online in what we are calling the Virtual March on Washington (promo video). We will take two buses from Harlem and Brooklyn carrying groups of supporters and young people up to Washington, DC in partnership with the NAACP.
We will be LiveStreaming each bus ride and will capture stories and interviews from Young People riding the Buses. We will also have a special film screening on both buses of American Promise.
We will also have special guests ride the buses including Shola Lynch, a documentary filmmaker who won a Peabody Award in 2006 for Chisholm '72: Unbought & Unbossed and just released the cutting edge documentary, Free Angela and all Political Prisoners.
Bus Locations: Flatbush Junction: Flatbush Ave & Avenue H (In Front of Target) leaving at 4AM- parking at RFK Stadium. Contact L. Joy Williams (President@brooklynnaacp.org)
Harlem: Harlem State Office Building leaving at 4AM- parking at RFK. Contact Marvin Bing (email@example.com)
Both Buses will leave RFK Stadium at 3:30PM
