NAACP Economic Department Accepting 2014 Financial Freedom Campaign Request for Proposals

The Economic Department is now accepting Request for Proposals from NAACP State Conference Units for its 4th Financial Freedom Campaign.
NAACP units are eligible to receive grants in the amounts of $3,000, $5,000 or $10,000 to develop a Financial Freedom Campaign in their community to address economic disparities and provide economic education and resources.
Since the inception of the Financial Freedom Campaign in 2011, the Economic Department has funded 73 State Conferences, Adult Units and Youth and College Units. Through this campaign we have provided economic education and advocacy resources to over 20,000 local constituents.
The proposal is available here. The deadline is April 18, 2014 by 5:00pm EST to Mjiba Frehiwot, MSW, Ph.D.
