NAACP-Supported Comprehensive Ex-Offender Reentry Legislation passes full U.S. Senate

On March 11, 2008, the United States Senate passed, by a unanimous vote, H.R. 1593, the "Second Chance Act of 2007". This was the same bill that the U.S. House of Representatives passed on Nov. 13, 2007, by an overwhelming bipartisan vote of 347 yeas to 62 nays.
