The Census of Agriculture

The Census of Agriculture, taken every five years, is now accepting complete census forms in preparation of their report. The Census of Agriculture is a count of U.S. farms and ranches and the people who operate them--it looks at land use and ownership, operator characteristics, production practices, income and expenditure.

The Federation of Southern Cooperatives Land Assistance Fund is encouraging African-American farmers to participate and be counted in the upcoming Census of Agriculture. The census data is important in protecting the future of farmers in America.

If you are an African-American farmer or other farmer of color—please click here to participate.
