The NAACP filed an amicus brief asserting that an employer may be held liable under the express language of Title VII for acts committed by biased supervisors if such action results in an adverse employment practice against an employee in a protected class. The NAACP joined the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under the Law, AARP, American Association of People with Disabilities, Asian American Justice Center, National Partnership for Women & Families and National Women’s Law Center on the brief.
