Avila v. Berkeley Unified School District

Superior Court of the State of California, Co. of Alameda, No. 03110397.

The Berkeley, California Branch participated in this lawsuit filed against the Berkeley Unified School District by private parties who objected to the School District's use of race as a factor in making school assignments. On June 24, 2004, the Court entered judgment in favor of Defendants. The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. represented the Branch.
