Goodwine v. Taft

U.S. District Court Southern District of Ohio, No. C-3-75-304

This longstanding school desegregation lawsuit was filed by the Dayton NAACP and individual plaintiffs against the Dayton, Ohio school district and the State of Ohio. It was settled and the District Court made a finding that the district was unitary. The Defendants agreed to fund and implement certain programmatic initiatives. In this post-unitary status case, the Dayton NAACP is currently attempting to obtain certain data from the School District in order to assess the District's performance under the terms of the settlement.
