The NAACP represents plaintiffs challenging action by the State of Nebraska that will serve to create three racially distinct school districts in Omaha, thereby violating the bedrock constitutional principle embodied in Brown v. Board of Education, 347 U.S. 483 (1954), and subsequent cases that hold "in the field of public education the doctrine of separate but equal has no place."
