Financial Freedom Center
The NAACP Financial Freedom Center is the headquarters of the NAACP Economic Program and the NAACP Financial Freedom Campaign. The Financial Freedom Center serves as a training facility and the primary base for the NAACP Economic program staff.
The Center is located in the Thurgood Marshall Center in the historic Shaw District of Washington DC. The Thurgood Marshall Center was originally the Twelfth Street YMCA, the first full service for YMCA for African Americans. The son-in-law of Booker T. Washington, W. Sidney Pittman, was the architect for the building.
