Before he died, Troy Davis said, "They can take my body but not my spirit, because I have given my spirit to God…the struggle for justice doesn't end with me."

The NAACP has stayed true to his words. We have continued our work to change the flawed system that cost Troy his life, and to finally end this barbarous tradition.

This November, Californians will go to the ballot box to vote on Proposition 34, an initiative to abolish the death penalty. In honor of the anniversary of Troy Davis' death and in support of Proposition 34's passage, print out and share the posters we've created to shine a light on the need to end the death penalty once and for all.
