Eric Wingerter
Eric Wingerter serves as the Vice President for Communications and New Media. He stepped into the role two years after creating the Association’s Department of New Media, where he oversaw the NAACP's web, listserv, mobile and blogger strategy.
Eric has over 15 years experience as a grassroots organizer and communications professional. His passion is to put his talents to use to create progressive social change. Before coming to the NAACP, Eric worked as a freelance communications and new media consultant, bringing strategic services to clients including the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, the Justice Policy Institute and the LGBT Bar Association. He has previously worked as the National Field Director for PEER, a non-profit organization that supports whistleblowers within the federal government, and as a grassroots organizer for Defenders of Wildlife.
