Removal of Barriers to Employment for Formerly Incarcerated People
Formerly incarcerated individuals face tremendous challenges as they seek to put aside their past and become productive members of society. Too often individuals with criminal records are turned away from legitimate employment, which would help engage them in productive activities that improve the quality of life for everyone.
The NAACP is leading efforts with both the public and private sector to end unnecessary discrimination against people with a criminal record. View our toolkit [Hyperlink] on how the local branches and partners can help move this work forward.
