(Washington, DC) – On Monday, January 7th, leaders from the NAACP, NAACP Legal Defense Fund and Southern Coalition for Social Justice will hold a press briefing to discuss this morning’s expected Supreme Court decision on Texas redistricting plans.
The leaders on the call will include NAACP President and CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous; Southern Coalition for Social Justice Executive Director Anita Earls; NAACP Legal Defense Fund Acting President and Director-Council Debo Adegbile, and Texas NAACP State Conference President Gary Bledsoe. They will discuss their reaction to the decision and what it means for the importance of the Voting Rights Act today.
