NAACP Commends Verizon’s Commitment to Comprehensive Immigration ReformMarch 05, 2013
The NAACP has released the following statement regarding Verizon’s support.
From NAACP Senior Vice President for Policy and Advocacy and director of The Washington Bureau Hilary Shelton:
“We commend Verizon Communications Chair and Chief Executive Officer Lowell C. McAdam for bringing the commitment and support of Verizon to help repair and strengthen a broken immigration system in the U.S.,” stated Hilary O. Shelton, NAACP Senior Vice President for Policy and Advocacy and director of The Washington Bureau. “It is heartwarming to see one of America’s largest telecommunications and technology companies utilizing it’s insight and resources to address a pervasive civil and human rights challenge that affects millions of American families.”
