NAACP Congratulates Melissa Harris-Perry on Hosting New MSNBC Show

(Baltimore, MD) – The NAACP congratulates Melissa Harris-Perry on her new role as a host for MSNBC’s weekend news programming. The Tulane University political science professor will host from 10 a.m. to noon EST.


"The NAACP sends its heartfelt congratulations to Melissa Harris-Perry for her accomplishment and applaud her for having the vision to inform a captive audience on topics related to the week’s political news and happenings,” stated NAACP President and CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous. “Harris-Perry has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to civil rights and equal justice under the law throughout her career.
