WHO: Clayola Brown, National President of the A. Philip Randolph Institute and NAACP Board Member; Jotaka Eaddy, NAACP Senior Director of Voting Rights and Senior Advisor to the President and CEO; Ryan Haygood, Director of the Political Participation Group of NAACP LDF; Honorable Helene Keeley, Delaware House of Representatives; Honorable Steve Benjamin, Mayor, City of Columbia South Carolina; Desmond Meade, President of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition
WHAT: This session will focus on the proactive agenda needed to advance the right to vote in our nation. We know that in order to pass measures and reforms such as gun reform, education reform and others; we must elect into office candidates of our choice who share our priorities on key policy issues of importance to the NAACP. Key issues highlighted will include the continued attack on voting rights, it’s impact on our ability to affect policy changes, and movement to advance and expand democracy.
