The vote by the full Senate Judiciary Committee on Jeff Sessions’ nomination to serve as US Attorney General was postponed until Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Among the primary reasons for the delay were outstanding questions regarding Senator Sessions’ civil rights background and history.
We need you to call your Senators today and urge them to vote no!!
For more information on Senator Sessions’ background, please see the attached Action Alert.
FYI, I am also attaching a letter and testimony from the late Coretta Scott King, the wife of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., provided to the Senate Judiciary Committee in 1986 when the Committee was considering him for a federal judgeship.
Please take a few minutes and make these important calls!
