Recently, NAACP Chairman Roslyn M. Brock sent the following email invite for the 9th Annual Leadership 500 Summit:
It’s hard to believe nearly a year has passed since our 2012 Leadership 500 Summit.
This Memorial Day weekend — from May 23-26 — we will convene once again to continue our century-long role in shaping America’s most prominent black leaders, both renowned and unsung.
The ninth NAACP Leadership 500 Summit will focus on making significant progress in eight key areas: Economic Empowerment, Criminal Justice, Health, Media & Technology, Environmental & Energy Justice, Education International Initiatives, and Entrepreneurship.
Working right alongside you to address these key issues will be talented professionals, advocates, and community leaders across many disciplines. The weekend is also an opportunity to meet, connect, and network with the men and women who play vital roles in our work nationwide.
There will also be fun activities for people of all ages, including our Family BBQ Reception, the Leadership By Design Awards, and our Gospel Breakfast.
If you are a leader or an aspiring leader in your community working to promote and defend civil rights and human rights, the Leadership 500 Summit is for you. Take a moment to register and plan your trip today:
Thank you. I’ll see you in Naples!
Roslyn M. Brock
