The FCC’s final vote is intended to address the estimated nearly 100 million Americans who still do not have broadband Internet services at home.
If voting is a civic sacrament, then the principle of “one person, one vote” is a civic commandment enshrined in our Constitution. Today, the Court unanimously affirmed that principle.
Sadly, there are those who are advocating that President Obama should not nominate, or the US Senate should refuse to even consider, a replacement on the Court for the seat vacated by the late-Justice Scalia.
We urge members of the Senate Judiciary Committee to put aside partisanship and obstructionism and fulfill their Constitutional duty.
