Pass the Equality Act

Urge Your Senator to Support the Equality Act

Passing the Equality Act (H.R.5) means barring discrimination in:

  • Employment,
  • Public schools,
  • Housing,
  • Credit opportunities,
  • Juries, and
  • Federally funded programs.

The Equality Act would also prohibit discrimination in places of public accommodation, including hotels, restaurants, entertainment venues, retail stores, transportation services, health-care facilities, and funeral homes.

Individuals shouldn't be denied access to shared facilities, such as bathrooms and locker rooms, in accordance with their gender identity.

The House has already passed H.R.5 in 2021. Now is the time to get the Senate on board. Send an email to your senator and urge them to protect the rights of the LGBTQ+ community and pass the Equality Act.
