Inspire Young Minds

When you create a scholarship, your generosity makes a significant impact on the life of a student.  Through Inspire Initiative, the NAACP works with donors to create customized scholarship programs with endowed or non-endowed funds.

  • Endowed scholarship funds are permanent and reoccurring. The principal of the fund is invested to produce income and recipients are chosen each year. The principal remains untouched, so the endowment can last in perpetuity.

  • Non-endowed scholarship funds are annual gifts awarded to recipients. These scholarships are available for as long as you choose to contribute to the fund.

Both fund options put you in the driver's seat.  You name the fund and chooses selection criteria. NAACP handles end-to-end processing including application, selection, and award presentation, as well as gift facilitation, accounting, and investment.
